Jefferson County Home
About Us:
In February 1988, a select group of conscientious men and women formed the local chapter of Pheasants Forever, Chapter 200. The members were concerned about the drastic 85% decline in the population of the ring-neck pheasant in Jefferson County over a 60 years time period. Over the years they have taken part in many fundraising activities to build and maintain the natural habitat for Pheasants in Jefferson County.
Attention Landowners!!!
We would like to encourage you to establish food plots to enhance wildlife habitat. Many of the CP practices in the Conservation Reserve Program can be used in conjunction with CP 12 Wildlife Food Plots. Food plots must range in size between a minimum of 0.25 acres and a maximum of 5 acres, and may constitute no more than 10% of the total CRP acreage.
Chapter 200's food plot mix is available every spring. For more information please feel free to contact the Habitat Chairman, Mark Dempsey at (920) 674-2307.
